Visited Penang last week with my uni friends to hunt for some great food and shopping.
We took a bus from UUM to Butterworth, then a ferry into Penang island.
There are many public transports available so no worries, it's very convenient for tourists who do not have a car there.

So, what can you do in Penang?

1. Dim sum

We visited Leong Kee Dim Sum restaurant located at Kimberly Street for breakfast.
I personally love their egg tarts. So fresh and yummy!
Location: No 61, Jalan Kimberly, 10100 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia

2. Upside Down Museum

Then, we spent almost 1.5 hours at the Upside Down Museum taking tonnes of pictures.
The museum is just a few shops away from Leong Kee Dim Sum on the same street.
Location: 45, Lebuh Kimberley, 10100 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia

3. Cendol and laksa

The weather is hot at noon so some cendol and laksa for lunch is the best.
This Teo Chew cendol stall located at Penang Road is one of the best cendol stalls in Penang. Customers usually stand and eat at the side of the road, but the owner has opened a shop near the stall where you can sit inside and enjoy your food. And there's air conditioner so you don't have to worry about sweating anymore.
We also tried their asam laksa and it was good.
Location: 27 & 29 Lebuh Keng Kwee, 10100  Georgetown, Pulau Pinang

4. Ramen

If you're a fan of ramen, you gotta try Xuan Xin Ramen Kitchen in Gurney Plaza.
The noodles are good and they serve big portion for affordable prices.
Location:170-B1-08, Plaza Gurney, Jalan Kelawai,10250 Pulau Pinang, Malaysia

5. High tea

Wanna have some chill time at a fancy place?
The newly-opened dessert cafe, Brown Pocket serves great waffles and pancakes.
The environment is cozy and suitable for a relaxing high-tea session with friends and family.
Location: 6th Floor Alfresco Area, Gurney Paragon Mall, 10300, Penang, Malaysia.

7. Visit Penang on 6

Penang On 6 is one of the new highlights in Gurney Paragon.
Located at the 6th floor; it brings us the experience back to the 60s.

8. Shopping

Gurney Plaza, Gurney Paragon and Queensbay Mall are great places to shop.
Pick either one and you can spend all day there!
