Visited Penang last week with my uni friends to hunt for some great food and shopping.
We took a bus from UUM to Butterworth, then a ferry into Penang island.
There are many public transports available so no worries, it's very convenient for tourists who do not have a car there.

So, what can you do in Penang?

You are not a true Malaysian if you do not love Nasi Lemak. Nasi Lemak or Coconut infused rice is usually served with a spicy sambal, sliced cucumber, deep-fried anchovies, fried peanuts, and eggs, either hard-boiled or fried.
As foods are getting more pricey out there, isn't it great if we could make our own favorite dish at home? This version of Nasi Lemak, served with a Dried Anchovies Sambal recipe by Seasalwithfood is what I am going to share with you today. It's simple and all the ingredients can be bought from the nearest grocery store.

INGREDIENTS
Coconut Rice
Dried Anchovies Sambal – Sambal Ikan Bilis
Cucumber, sliced
Deep-Fried Anchovies
Fried Peanuts
Hard-boiled Eggs, halved
Dried Cuttlefish Sambal With Peanuts
